MEMBERSHIP RATES AND CATEGORIESDoctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPMs), podiatric medical residents, fellows, and students, or licensed Medical Doctors (MDs), Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs), and international practitioners who actively participate in foot and ankle surgery, and are a member in good standing of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), may apply for membership in the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons (ASPS). All memberships renew on June 1 of each year. FellowA licensed DPM with active surgical privileges at an accredited healthcare facility and certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) or the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) – $300 annually and one-time $50 application fee AssociateA licensed DPM with active surgical privileges at an accredited healthcare facility and qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) or the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) – $300 annually and one-time $50 application fee Affiliate
A licensed DPM, MD, DO, or international practitioner actively practicing foot and ankle surgery – $300 annually and one-time $50 application fee Young Professional
A licensed DPM in practice less than 5 years – $150 annually and one-time $25 application fee Emeritus
An ASPS Fellow at least 65 years of age practicing less than 20 hours per week or fully retired – $150 annually and one-time $25 application fee Resident
A DPM resident or fellow in a CPME approved program – $50 annually, no application fee. Student
A student enrolled in a CPME approved podiatric medical college – complimentary. CECH Access OnlyOnline access to pre-2021 accredited on-demand video education. No other member benefits apply and APMA membership is not required - $400 annually, no application fee. |
